Ex-Wife’s Testimony

Testimony Untrustworthy

The State relied heavily on the testimony of Harrods’ ex-wife. The information she supposedly gave them was exactly what was released to the public in this case.

In fact she had viewed a tape of the show Unsolved Mysteries at least twelve times before talking to police. Her statements at times were “exact quotes” from the tape.

Her Claims of Money – Proven Wrong

She also read the newspapers and watched the news. The only things she added were $100,000.00 was paid to Harrod and the stolen jewelry had been in their home.

Proven during trial was the fact Harrod received less than thirty two thousand dollars from MECA Corporation for his work with them. There was a valid contract between Harrod and MECA to validate this claim.

Her Claims of Stolen Jewelry – Proven Wrong

Anne Harrod also lied when she told police there had been jewelry from the crime scene in her house, during trial it was proved nothing was taken!

She even led the police to the desert to search an area where she said they were hidden to build up her story. Anne Harrod produced NO evidence to support her claim, it was all her word.

Her Claims of Accomplices – Proven Wrong

She went on to implicate other people Harrod knew who later were proven to have no knowledge of this crime.

Her Claims of Counseling – Proven Wrong

Anne Harrod also claims she had to seek mental counseling because of this, when contacted her doctor said, Anne Harrod never mentioned anything about this to her.

She Admitted to Telling a Story

Anne Harrod met with a family member of Mr. Harrods’ and while being tape recorded admitted she was telling a story and the State was making her say things.

Ann Harrods’ word is in itself is untrustworthy.

She Was Never Charged!

By Arizona’s Statute Ann Harrod would of been guilty of at least two felony charges for her not reporting the crime prior to, and not reporting it after. She was never charged!
